love letter to friends
humanity's biggest threat?
is me. armaan ajoomal. why? idk.
gems of the week
list of things ive discovered and wanted to share
armaan’s thoughts
strength is tested in difficult times. that’s when a person truly shows their skin.
no one’s thinking that much about you, don’t worry.
to be surprised daily, that’s the goal of a fun life.
1 reflection
community.
a few months ago, i wrote about loneliness. a feeling i definitely acquainted myself with here in LA. it was a completely jarring experience from being surrounded by friend and family and loved ones for nearly 20 years of my life, then moving out here and being all by myself.
and it sucked in the beginning. luckily i love talking to strangers and sorta “asserting myself” - but it’s not easy to make friends like that.
so up until a few weeks ago, i really had 1-2 friends here that invited me to this or that every now and then, but nothing crazy. that is until recently.
this past weekend, i went to a place called Wirsthaus in LA with a true motley crue of motherfuckers. and for the first time in 4 months, i felt seen. i felt a part of something. i felt that amazing feeling when you go to the bathroom or get some water at a club, and you come back and your friends were like “oh we we’re looking for you!”
i came home after that and almost cried.
im in LA for 6 more weeks. i wish it was 6 more MONTHS. but anyways, in these past 14 weeks that I’ve been here, i’ve REALLY understood the value of close friends + family.
so if you’re around people you’re love, and EVEN MORE IF YOU’RE NOT, please call up your friends. please call up your mom and dad and brother. please let them know how much you love them.
because that’s what friends and family and lovers do.
love.
thanks for stopping by.
love you.
