laughter is medicine
in the past 168 hours, i don’t think i’ve ever laughed more per minute. back in boston surrounded by amazing friends and hilarious people, it’s so fucking amazing to be here.
yes it’s cold and i miss the sun and the wind is been biting me in the ass, but being around friends nearly 24-7, learning in classes again, surrounded by young people, and being an absolute degenerate is amazing. at least for the time being. maybe it’ll get old soon idk.
with that being said tho! i think the best thing that’s colored my experience being back in college life is truly laughter.
laughter.
laughter.
laughter.
i’m very humor oriented: whether it’s making fun of myself(50% of the time), making fun of the environment(40%) or making fun of someone else(10%). laughter is both a coping and connection mechanism; helping me deal with the angst of being human and the desire to connect with others, if even for a split second.
and after living alone for months, where laughter was more of a glitch in the matrix than something I could reliably have every day, i realize how incredible living with friends and being around people is.
it’s an understatement to say living with friends is “good”.
for me, i think it’s essential. like water. i die without it.
i love my friends.
love you.
