and that's pretty weird right?

a bit of kindness goes a long way

im in canada right now. montreal specifically.

it’s quite artsy and vibrant and fun and all that. but one thing i’ve noticed is how nice people here. i know its a meme to say canadians are nice, BUT IT’S TRUE!

here, people smile. they say “thank you” and “you’re welcome”. they hold open the door and give you a hug and compliment your outfit and talk with you and all that.

and that… feels nice.

a little bit of kindness goes a long way, my friends. being slightly nicer to the trashman taking your bin or your friend who’s stressed out or a stranger in line for coffee, these tiny, seemingly insignificant things add up.

and then you’ve made the world a better place. well done.

what role does beauty play in your life?

what might your 10-year-old self be proud of you for today?

1 musing

there is beauty in everything.

the bubbles in a cup of coffee.
the trampled flowers on the side of a street.
the ridges and lines of a wifi router.
the crisp, sweet flesh of a juicy apple.
the utterly awe-inspiring grandiosity of nature.

in every tiny thing on this Earth, there is a morsel of beauty. of something that reminds us why.

why we are here.

to reorient ourselves towards the mission.
to reacquaint ourselves with the vision.
to recouple ourselves with what matters.

life.

we all get so wrapped up in our own little worlds. but in reality, the things that have made us truly happy in the moment are the conversations with friends after a bottle of wine, or the fervor of good food on a Friday night, or dancing your sorrows away next Saturday.

we forget the Experience of Life is far greater than the thinking of the Experience, or philosophizing of the Experience.

how many of us get caught up in our tiny hands forgetting what truly matters?

to live.
