reinvigorating old passions with new perspective
my knee bobbed up and down as my fingers flew across the controller.
my jaw agape and eyes widened as flashes of purple, yellow, and huge spectacles unraveled on the screen.
i was booting up destiny 2.
after months of staying away from videogames, here i was, downloading one of my favorite franchises, excited to the gills.
i’ve been getting back into gaming recently, but from a new perspective.
i used to be an addict.
a videogame addict.
but recently as ive been getting back into fantasy and sci fi and worldbuilding, ive noticed my passion for immersion has come back.
and thus, videogames.
but im coming at it from a new perspective.
not one of fear or worry or pure pleasure, but one of analysis.
i would like to see what analyzing a videogame and understanding game design and the world and all the jazz.
i’m coming at the medium from a new perspective.
im very excited to see what comes from it.
