dealing with sickness

god fkin damnit

living a bit more gracefully

its very easy to get stuck in a story.

a story of suffering and strife and hardship, as if you’re some Sisyphusian figure battling the world, taking it down bit by bit and changing the regime.

that’s cool if you wanna live that story.

but you don’t have to.

i tend to be dramatic.

today, im living more gracefully.

and it’s nice.

the stories we tell

its sunday april 14th and im sick.

fuk.

it sucks being sick. feeling like my nose is blocked by a 3-ton gorilla jacked up on testosterone shots and gas station rhino pills.

feeling my throat have a golf ball wedge that makes me shiver every time i swallow.

fuck.

it sucks.

but im sick. so however i think about it, im gonna be sick.

so im going to choose to be happy with it.

now, i’ve got a 12 hour date with myself. a date to relax and chill and drink some tea and listen to music and take a break.

maybe ill read a book or binge Fallout. No matter what, im sick, so instead, im going to choose to change the story.

we’re all capable of changing the story.

yeah, rain sucks.

you’ll be stuck in traffic for 10 minutes longer.

but that means you’ll get two more songs for your morning karaoke sesh.

so be careful with the stories you tell.

good news?

you can craft ‘em.
