night clubs are a collective lie we don’t believe in, but appear to believe in.

alright, i like ear-piercing music, crazy fucking expensive drinks, and grinding on strangers as much as anyone else.

(that’s what 20 years olds do, right?)

BUT WE NEED TO TALK.

last night i went out to a famous night club here in k-town LA. fun place. some cool people. i was def one of the younger people there. and overall, good night.

but after about 15 minutes of dancing, im good.

im done with the nauseating music.

im okay abstaining from the epilepsy-inducing light shows.

im FINE NOT GETTING PUSHED AROUND AND THROWN LIKE A FUCKING RAG DOLL ON THE DANCE FLOOR.

after sweating and downing shitty tequila shots for 20 minutes, im happy to have a conversation or get some variety or experience something different.

AND IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE I TALKED TO LAST NIGHT AGREES!

they were all like “yeah this gets boring after 20 minutes, but like, what else is there to do…”

WHATTT??

do we all just appear to like nightclubs on the outside, but actually really hate them(or at least want something better) internally?

yup.

deep down, we don’t like. but on the outside, we smile, dance, and chug neon-colored cocktails.

yuck.

nightclubs are a collective lie.

i wonder how many other lies we profess?
