pride in your work.

on thursday night, i clocked in a photography gig at a legendary LA venue, the Troubadour.

it’s been a famous venue since 1957, people like Elton John starting their career there. then it became a punk rock and alt rock haven, with RHCP and more stopping by. i saw a show last minute for an interesting concert, booked it, and made my way over.

honestly, i was unprepared. i didn’t expect the show to be as crowded as it was + the lenses i own for my camera were too short. i couldn’t really get good photos.

to be honest, i was bummed. and during the actual process of shooting the photos, i wasn’t having any fun. and i was suffering in my imagination.

fast forward to yesterday, im editing the photos - and honestly, they’re kinda good.

they’re DAMN GOOD.

SOME COMPLETE BANGERS.

and suddenly a swell of pride and excitement and joy and accomplishment all came together and swirled up into a fiery ball of energy that thrummed through every vein, crevice, and fiber in my body.

it was INCREDIBLE.

and its been a while since i felt that sorta pride in my work. that satisfaction. so yeah. i really enjoyed that.

thanks for stopping by.

love you.
